On-line Professional Development Opportunities

Open enrollment through Inservice

These workshops will be held on July 14,21, 28 and Aug 11.  You can sign up for a 3 hour sessions in the morning (8-11) or afternoon (12-3) or sign up for both (you can work through lunch and be done at 2 if you like).  You can sign up for as many as you want. Make sure to create an action plan through Inservice and you will get contact hours for them. They are designed to provide a time for you to work on integrating technology into your curriculum and units of study in effective ways to promote student growth and learning, with integrators there to support you. You can also get Empower help on creating Playlists.

If you need child care contact vickidecker@rsu57.org and I may be able to set up an on campus sitting service.

Technology Integration is not about how much tech you use but how well you can leverage it to increase student involvement and technology skills for the 21st Century.  The ISTE standards are a great resource to see if you are using technology effectively. Check them out here:

Some ideas to consider:

Learn how to make your presentations (like Keynotes) interactive by exploring Nearpod.

Learn how to Flip the classroom or provide organized video resoureces for your students and for you to find to locate with Empower.

Learn how to increase student collaboration by integrating tools for class collaboration like Padlet, Google Apps for Education, and Today's Meet.

Learn apps great for collecting formative assessment evidence.

There are all sorts of ways you can use technology to support best practices.  Choose an area to focus on and what tools you can use to support it!

We are looking forward to working with you this summer.
